DESCRIPTION AND INDICATION FOR USE:

The product contains inactivated avian influenza type A vaccinal virus, subtype H5N2, strain A/Chicken/México/232/94/CPA of low virulence, of chicken embryo origin, emulsified in an oil base. The vaccine is recommended to be used as an aid for the prevention and control of influenza disease subtype H5, in birds 8 day of age or older. Vaccinate only healthy birds.

TARGET SPECIES:
Poultry, ducks, turkeys, Guinea fowl, quails, fighthing cocks, pheasants and ostriches.

 


DOSAGE:

0.5 ml.

ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION:
The vaccine should be injected subcutaneously in the midportion back of the neck.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:
No other vaccination method or route is suggested or implied.

PREPARATION OF THE VACCINE:
At vaccination the product should be at environmental temperature 18°C to 24°C (64°F to 65°F).
Shake well before administration.

SIDE EFECTS:
As it can happen with any oil emulsion vaccine, swelling and granulomas at the site of injection can occur and be present usually for two or three weeks following administration. Do not vaccinate birds during the laying period.

WARNINGS STATEMENT:
It is imperative that the user of this product comply with the instructions stated above. The vaccine must be prepared and administered as directed to obtain best results. Use of non sterile needles, syringes and stoppers under field vaccination may result in abscess formation and condemnation of birds. The accidental injection in human beings can result in severe adverse reactions at site of injection. If it occurs consult your physician immediately. Use the entire content when first opened. Burn this container and all unused contents.

STORAGE CONDITIONS:
Do not freeze.
Store in the dark. For long period, store between 2°C and 7°C.  For short period (3 months) for the transportation, the vaccine can be stored at room temperature (between 18°C to 24°C) without affection of its immunogenical properties.

Vaccinate only healthy birds.

Store in refrigeration between 2°c and 7°C (35°F and 45°F). Do not freeze. Do not expose product to direct sunrays. Product can be kept out of refrigeration conditions for 2 weeks for transportation purposes (18°C- 24°C) without altering its immunogenic properties.
